Set up Azure storage for workflow template change management

Use an Azure Storage Account to exchange change management files between your D365 FO environment and other environments.

Set up Data entry workflow parameters Set up Data entry workflow parameters Before you start using Data entry workflow, set up the Data entry workflow parameters. Besides the general parameters, define parameters for: Approvals Change management Number sequences Procedure 1. Go to Data entry workflow > Setup > Data entry workflow parameters. 2. Sub-task: Set General parameters. 3. In the Calendar field, enter or select a value. 4. In the Service account field, enter or select a value. 5. Sub-task: Set Approval parameters. 6. Click the Approvals tab. 7. In the Delegate document type field, enter or select the document type for the delegate note attachment. 8. In the Reject document type field, enter or select the document type for the reject note attachment. 9. Sub-task: Set change management parameters. 10. Click the Version management tab. 11. In the Description field, type a value. 12. Select Yes in the Active field. 13. In the Operator name field, enter the user name to be used to access the Azure file share. 14. In the Password field, enter the password to be used to access the Azure file share. 15. In the Windows share field, enter the UNC path to the applicable Azure file share. 16. If change management is active, define the folder where the change management files are stored. This is a folder in the file share as defined in the Windows share field. Make sure, the folder exists in the file share. In the Shared path field, enter or select a value. Note: For change management, to work properly, the file share and Shared path must be the same for all environments between which workflow templates must be synchronized. 17. Sub-task: Set Number sequences. 18. Click the Number sequences tab. 19. In the Number sequence code field, enter or select a value. 20. In the Number sequence code field, enter or select a value. 21. For example, by functional area, like Sales or Product. Procedure 1. Go to Data entry workflow > Setup > Data entry workflow categories. 2. Click New. 3. In the Category ID field, type a value. 4. In the Description field, type a value. Do you need  configurable labels? Do you need  configurable labels? Set up configurable labels Set up configurable labels You can setup configurable labels to be used on data entry workflow template steps. You can use configurable labels for: Field group names Field names Field help texts Procedure 1. Go to Data entry workflow > Design > Configurable labels. 2. Click New. 3. In the Label ID field, type a value. 4. In the Label field, type the label to be shown on data entry workflow tasks. 5. Expand the Description section. 6. In the Description field, type a value. 7. Close the page. Notes You can also create a configurable label on the Configurable labels dialog. To do so, open the dialog, click New, and fill in the fields. You can open the Configurable labels dialog from the Data entry workflow template page to select a configurable label for a: Field group Field Field help text End End Yes No Yes No Yes No
